My Servotronic relay was accidentally left out by my mechanic the other day and I can't believe how much I love driving my 94 100 CSQ now!! It's nice and tight and feels like I always thought it should have. I always disliked how much over-assist the power steering had.
My question is, can you do any kind of long term damage to anything by permanently removing the Servotronic relay?

the fact, that steering wheel is harder to turn on slow speed does not mean, that your have input from the road or that car is better in turns.
I would put it back.

I've heard that increasing the caster angle does make a big difference, but it's not adjustable on the C4 without buying the $$$ 2-Bennett camber plates (or modifying the stock ones).
Pulling the Servotronic obviously doesn't change the steering geometry, but lots of us think the steering is over-assisted and like the feel better without it.
