(G113) [4A0 820 511 A]. Any suggestions?

The electric motor seems to spin fine, I rebuilt the motor as per the FAQ, but it doesn't seem to be working when in-car. Perhaps the positoning potentiometer is dead?

Is the mechanism or flap binding? Have you tried to operate it in VAG-Com output test mode?

no binding, spins easily by hand. Doesn't seem to be an output test for this particluar flap...

Default have you confirmed you're getting voltage to the motor? used motors are available at the junkyard.

I have a couple used spares if worse comes to worst.

Default motor is getting voltage... any idea what the purpose of that flap is?

why would you ever want to block airflow?

Default I was going to ask the same question, because all air come in via that duct & flap

Even in recirculation mode, the airflow is still "through the evaporator box" and then into the blower fan blades via that big yellow flap.
