Tranny pan where the dipstick tube enters

The car is a 1993 CSQ.
Should the dipstick tube port be flush and square with the pan? There is some damage here but I can't tell how much. I want to straighten it out but I don't want to overdo it if the fitting is supposed to be somewhat recessed.
Regarding the 3rd image... Bentley says I should have gotten less than three qts. out of the pan. I got six. Just keep adding until it comes out of the dipstick tube, right? On a positive note, any contaminants contained therein were nice and diluted!
