I have been reading some of the messages and found out a lot of transmission failures are due to bad internal radiator/ trany fluid cooler.
I am thinking to install a B$M external trany fluid cooler that completely bypass the radiator.
Anyone done this modification before? I have done this mod to my Nissan with a good results.
Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot!!!

I too have thought of this but never have gotten around to it. My only concern is that without a transmission temp guage there is no way to tell how the new cooler is working, what if for some reason it actualy was worse? Though I doubt that would be the case.
Let me know how it goes.

is the tranny fluid will not heat up as quickly since the tranny cooler is normally built into the rad....ie engine heat/coolant helps to bring the tranny fluid to operating temp...then of course it helps to keep it at operating transmission. It maybe more problematic for those who live in areas were winter temperatures tend to plumet.

Can anyone tell me if tranny fluid runs up to the front of the car for cooling purposes at all? 97A6
