What exactly causes the Automatic tranny to shift...it seems that my tranny will hesitate to back down after going from accelerating to stopping...pulls RPM down then goes to lower gear. Is there a switch or cable that might be sticking...what is it called, where can I get one.

Most modern automatic trannies are electronic.

Make sure you have the proper fluid in yours and that it's at the correct level.
