I have to change a front wheel bearing, so I figure after 247k miles, I will pull the axle shafts and give the CV joints a cleaning & lube. Now, I'm coming across this "Tripode" terminology. can anyone tell me how to know the difference? I hate to get into a job, and discover I have the wrong parts.

Bentley says:
3 - Drive axle For vehicles with manual transmission
7 - Axle shaft with inner tripod joint. Variation of drive axle for vehicles with automatic transmission.
