Original tires were not in good condition. therefore, I changed 2 with new tires in rear and old ones in front. Size is the same(205/55r16) but brand name is different. Old-goodyear eagle rsa, new-bridgestone. However, I feel same vibraion before and after.

I'm the king of vibrations, have replaced 4 rims so far this year, all do to our lovely roads here in Michigan. These rims are terribly weak and you won't even be able to see some of the flat spots unless it's on the balance machine. After buying used scratched rims from Shokan Audi for $215, I've found a local supplier that will refurbish the rim for $125. Of course, my first two rims he couldn't save. He sells refurbished units that look better than new for $250.
I'd bet my two extra bent rims in the garage that this is your problem also. Good luck

You choices are:
get some smaller rims (IHMO 16" are the best)
straighten your rims (Wheels USA will do it for $100 per wheel).
shaking happens between 55 and 70 MPH. They do not shake when you drive 85 MPH and above

I'm turning 40 next year, and after all the agressive driving, road hazards, etc, the only rim that I ever bent was when I "borrowed" the car when I was 13 and ran it into a curb. What are you people doing to your wheels? What am I not doing?

My 92 Avant does the same thing. I know two of the rims are bent. I replaced the center driveshaft thinking the carrier bearing was bad (had this with BMW) no help. I tried putting on the donut spare on in place of the bent rims with no luck. Mine vibrates between 45-75 mph. Skokan sells replacement rims for $180. Thats been my experience so far. I would like to replace the rims but I don't know if the car is worth it.
