What is the average cost to replace an O2 sensor?

Default Parts: OEM $125/each, universal $38-$45/each, .75 hours labor/each
Have to splice the universal to the OEM connector.

Default Four... two on the exhaust headers, and two right after the cats...
95.5 and older = OBD I = 2 O2 sensors
96 and newer = OBD II = 4 O2 sensors

Default Could run too rich and plug up your cats, resulting in a $1k+ repair...
They are suggested to be replaced every 100k... are yours failing? Kicking off fault codes? How many miles on the car?

Default Where did you find them for those prices?
I checked around a little on the web and found Bosch for $170, but that was about it. My mechanic wanted $175/each.

Default 60K interval listed in Bentley
According to my mechanic, the front two are the ones that most directly control mixtures, and the back two are primarily for reporting OBDII information. The front two are also the ones most likely to wear out.

For my 60K service, I did the front two, and will let the computer tell me when the back two need replacing.
