Yes. 65=3000, 70=3200, 75=3400, 80=3600.

Default But they still get crappy MPG.

Audi must start importing more fuel efficient cars. We know they have they technology. They are masters of innovation!

Default The C6 A6 platform uses a 6-speed Tiptronic tranny, not a 7-speed (USA models). If you visit...

the C6 forum, you'll see that posters there are reporting mileage as high as 30+ MPG on the highway with the 3.2L FSI V6, much better than our 12V 2.8L V6 with a 4-speed auto tranny in the C4 platform.

Default Are you sure?...

The difference in rolling circumference between 195/65/15 (stock size) and 205/65/15 is only 2%. If stock size is 3400 at 75mph then a 2% larger tire would be 3332 rpm. With the gearing we have here in the U.S. even a 225/65/16 would only bring 3400 @ 75mph down to 3088.

Do you know the rpms at 75 mph with the stock size 195/65/15 tires? I wonder if the gearing is different. Manual or auto transmission?

Default That's weird. At 100 you should be almost in the 5000 range

4000 should be 90mph with stock tires.

Default Re: Are you sure?...

I have an auto. The gearing must be different because the manual turn at 2800 at 75. ours are FWD

That must explain the great fuel mileage I got that nobody would believe
