it keep the lid in an alway locked position? Does the key override (mechanical) the vacuum hose for the central locking?
Just curious because this past weekend I went for a test drive after changing the final drive seal. I pulled into a lot and locked the car and within 20 seconds I heard a hissing. I immediately thought the seal or something let loose releasing pressure but I didn't see anything wet on the underside. Next day I heard it again but from the trunk. It was the vacuum hose broken at the joint.
