Default Where is oil pressure switch?

Repair shop told me that I have oil leaking on oil pressure sensor and asking $100.
I just bought the part at $5. But where is it?
Any procedure to replace?
It is for 95 A6 quattro.
Thanks!

Default A pic would be easier. It's dark out in my part of the world. However, I am looking into the same

thing on one of my Audis. Mine being due to the guage showing high oil pressure. Without looking @ it or you elaborating, I can only guess... I know that there actually like 2 switches. It may be possible you have the wrong one. I have yet to dig into mine but if I understand things correctly. One switch is like $5 the other is like $100. When I searched Napa online and places like partstrain I got like 6 options for a switch. Some blue some brown some red etc... If you can't take a pic, I'll go out tomorrow and look @ mine, to attempt to see what you mean. If you truly have the cuprit in question, it should be easily apparent. (i.e. plug and play) otherwise you may have the switches confused. I'll post back in like 14 hours or so, unless someone else can chime in.

This is the setup on my 94 100Q. There is one wiring harness that connects to the oil pressure sender, oil pressure switch, and oil temp sender.

Default what socket should I use to remove?

I bought a 7/8 inch socket but it's too small.
What size should I buy to remove it?
Btw, it is really hard to access.

Default You have to be something wrong. First almost every socket you'll need for the audi are metric

The same goes for just about any new car. So unless you have a 57 chevy or are building a playhouse for the kids. Start with buying metric tools. I have yet to dig in to mine, but for your sake will try tomorrow. How much smaller is it? If it is just barely too small than your probably looking @ a 23. However, that doesn't seem right to me so I would try a 24mm.

22mm is exact fit to new oil pressure switch.

It is strange but the original one on the car might have different size??
should I buy 23mm or 24mm and try again?
