When I'm slowing down, and run over some gravel or up onto a berm. Is it normal to feel "the road, gravel and all" on the brake pedal?. It's as if the pedal itself is touching the road. This only happens when I run over gravel and such, but I don't remember this on my truck.

I agree it's just the ABS doing it's thing. Do you have an "Antilock Off" button? if so, push it and you will see that what you describe goes away.

They are right about the anti-lock - I missed the part about it happening when you drive over gravel and stuff. The anti-lock feels like gravel - and you might think something is wrong with the car. It only kicks in when impending wheel lock occurs and it makes noise and feels really bad, but it does the trick.
