how did you tranny give out?...were there tell tale signs before it happened?

when i was like at light at idle then give it gas it would act like something upfront.....

was loose and would fall off my car, but if gave it just the right amount of gas it wouldnt do that but it got worse and it finally slipped at 2k rpm and there was no power, it would slip all away thru the rpm range. its toast, so im goin to do a 5 Spd conversion, i dont want to pay the 3k to do rebuild.
