Wiring accessory outlet to fuse box.
I got one of those accessory sockets from Radio Shack and I'm trying to figure out where exactly to splice or attach the positive lead in the fuse box (under the hood). I'm not the most electrically inclined individual, so I'm not sure what I'm looking at in there.
I remember Erik saying that was where he tied his in, but if I'm off base, then direction would be appreciated.

It's also possible to run a wire up to the fuse/relay box under the hood.
it's pretty simple to add a 30 amp fuse in the slots there. I did that with a heated seat retrofit to make it just like stock.
What kind of amperage will you need for you assy outlet? You may be able to find lower amp fuses in the same configuration.

I looked in the area you are talking about, Evol, but how do I locate the correct wire?
I'm assuming it would be a red wire. Can you give any more details? When I look under the driver's side, all I see are about 100 different wires in various bundles - I guess I'm not sure what you mean by "power lugs"... thanks.
