now i know everyone is gonna tell me to look at the Bentley web site, but i have and have found nothing. i need the wiring diagram for the radio. i have a 1996 A6Q. it came with an aftermarket alpine in it but, the speakers in the driver door just dont work.( are the door panels dificult to take off???) i've tried at the connector but it seems to be a problem in the wiring. also does anyone know whats goin on with the rear speakers??? I know they HAD an amp from the factory, but that was also removed and i dont quite understand the way the person wired it before.
Thanks alot and any info will be greatly appreciated

Can someone help me here also? I've got the Bentley manual and ALLDATA (both have the same wiring diagram). The front speakers seem to just have a positive and a negative terminal. I can't decipher what wires need to be hooked to an ISO wiring harness for the rear since it appears they have some sort of unusual common ground wiring.
I have a 1994 100S. It came with a Kenwood stereo wired in. I then replaced it with a newer Sony with MP3. A few months ago my car was broken into and when they stole the stereo they cut they hacked the wiring off down inside. I need to know what color wire in the Audi goes to what color in a standard purple/gray/green/white ISO harness and what to do about power/ground/etc. There wasn't any sort of adapter in there that I ever saw while working on installing a car alarm and the Sony like Crutchfield sells for a common ground system. I did have to purchase a new antenna adapter as that was stolen.. so I've got that covered. Just need to know about power and speaker wiring. Thanks anyone that can help.

if you can upload the diagram for the radio, i could help. my radio is in my car rite now, but only the pass. door speakers are playing( or hooked up). but as far as the wiring goes i nko what the memory, ignition, and ground wires are. i just dont know about the rear speakers, it looks kinda weird and i feel that im gonna have to run my own wires. You might have to too.

I posted the diagram down below. I previously had this exact same model of this stereo working before it was stolen and the thiefs just cut all of the wiring and harnesses out. It's a Sony CDX-M7810. When I purchased the car it had a Kenwood. If the speakers needed rewired then it has already been done. But from what I can see it never was.. and I still have the OEM Nokia rear speakers and Nokias in the doors.

OK here how you have to connect the back speakers.
First since the back speakers have their built in amp, you have to power up that amp-connect the ACC wire to the WS cable(it should be on the red stock plug). Then after you do that, you connect the speakers-right speaker + ->bl/gn, - ->br/ro, left speaker you conect only the + -> ro/gn(you connect tose the the wires comming from the cd player). Hope this help. I just did mine yesterday.
pp. Make sure you test with volt meter the wires before connecting
