Hi gang !!
well, now I need some help..
I have a 93 S4 turbo, and I was installing a front mount intercooler in it, well, that was done, and I started the car, drove it around for a few minutes, stopped, turned it off,, and now it wont start !!!!
Its getting spark
Its getting fuel up to the fuel rail,
the injectors click when I turn the ignition on, but Im not sure they click when I crank the engine..
The 5amp fuse by the ECU is ok..
all fuses in fuse box ok
removed the original airbox, installed a Greddy mushroom airfilter..
even if the intercooler has some leaks, it should start up right? (but im pretty sure it doesnt)
Blow off not installed, waiting for the pipe..
tried resetting the ECU several times..(disconnected the battery)
the ECU has the 350hp chipset
There is a plate, with a few wires attached to it inside the left fender, I loosened that plate when removing the old intercooler, and it came loose when I was test driving.. this is the only thing that was out of the ordinary...(the plate lost its grounding,, if it needs it?)
any ideas what to do next?
the weird part is, it fired up, I drove it, stopped and bang.. dead !!!!

make sure it didnt blow off a boost pipe or somthing. a large intake leak will cause a no start. Timing belt didnt break right, lol. These are CIS injection right? with a fuel distributor. How can you have a chip?? Somthing doesnt sound right.....the car will run fine with the computer unplugged, lol. just reverts back to old school CIS. This plate your talking about, your not talking about the Air flow meter right? i really cant see how you have a cone filter either how these injection system are setup with the fuel distributor built into the airbox.

timing belt ok
this is not the old style distribution injection
the plate mentioned, I found out its for the cooling fan..
actually, now I cant connect to the ECU, and the injectors are no longer clicking..
