there used to be a small interior light coming from under the ashtray in my 95 A6q. Amber/red in color , lit up that little cubby thing below the CC. I'm hoping when I pull the radio and check the connections in the CC I can change this? Any idea where to et a bulb or a part no ? I need a frappin bentley for all my random questions huh .... sorry guys...

BTW, Bentley doesn't include part numbers, only repair procedures, wiring diagrams, etc. You need ETKA for part numbers.

they actually had them 2.49 and Im all good to go .... didnt realize it was such a small little thingy ..... not how hard is the dash to remove I havea few in the cluster Id like to replace lol

Instrument cluster bulbs look like this:

While the ashtray bulb is like this:

The IC comes out pretty easily. You do NOT need to remove the steering wheel as shown in this picture. Just tilt it downward as far as it will go. First, remove screws labeled #2, and remove the trim piece, #1. You will then see a few bolts at the bottom of the IC holding it in. Remove those, then carefully pull it out and disconnect the connectors on the back. After you get it out, the bulbs are easy to replace.

Just a heads-up: Frequent AW users prefer that you start your response in the "subject" line.
