[cries] So ya... the quat is totalled!
I must have some kind of bad luck with these cars, I've totalled ANOTHER one!
The rear quarter is punched in and the end panel bent. Bumper isolators were sheared off the car, and the trunk lid was smashed into the left side and all tail lights exploded. (Funny, my new taillights just arrived in the mail the same morning that the crash happened.)
This is what happened... I was backing out of a parking stall, then I stopped to let a semi truck drive past. I watched the truck pass in my rear view mirror then looked over my right shoulder, I saw no trailer so I slowly continued to pull out of the parking spot. As I was backing up, BANG!, I looked around because I had no idea WTF just happened. I was now spun around and my car's *** end was ripped off.
I noticed the truck was pulling a "lowboy" trailer (those low slung trailers that are at about at the axle level.) I just didn't see his trailer in my mirrors and when I looked right, I still didn't see it.
DANGIT TO HECK!&%$@*#$
I finally just starting to get this little quat fixed up and now I loose it... another Audi down... what is my problem? 34 years old, never had a car accident until I bought an Audi. LOL.
It still drives straight the rear end "can" be fixed, I just don't have the time or money. I'm sooooo sad to see this car go, I put so much time into it.
There is an '86 CGT in town, I'm looking at right now, hope I get it.
This is how she started...

I loved/hated that little car, so sad to see her go...
Hopefully I'll find another Audi.

Omg...so sorry to hear!! Luckily YOU'RE ok though!
Audis are replaceable, but you're not! Sucks though...all your work and such a fine project. Keep your eyes open, there are still some good ones out there for you to get!

Your lucky to be alive.
This is probably a bad time to ask, but are you going to part the car out?
If so, I would like to buy your front bumper lights and reflectors. Name the price.
