Default 1982 Audi 4000, What to do with it

So I have a 1982 Audi 4000. It was my first car back when I was 16. I drove it for a few years and then bought a pickup. Anyway, I still have this car and it has been sitting parked for 5-6yrs. The clutch is on its way out, and it won't start. I assume it needs a new fuel pump, filter, or something. I wouldn't mind driving this vehicle again as my truck gets poor mileage. Do you guys think it is cost effective to get this Audi running again or should I just get rid of it? If you suggest the latter, should I just take it to a junk yard or is there a better route. If I fix it up, how difficult is it to find parts and are they way expensive due to the age of the vehicle? Thanks a lot guys!!

Keep the car; they're becoming scarce.
Make fixing it up your next hobby.
These guys will help you out.
They're helping me.

Default 30mpg aint bad my friend..

i would definitely be aware of how much money you want to put into it. i wouldn't expect that after 5 years of sitting that it just needs a filter yah know. i would first see if you are willing to put some money back into it and then how much. to get it running wont be that bad, but dont forget about passing inspection and then routine stuff as well. i say go for it..

KEEP IT!

and if you're nearby in the PA area, you should come check out Carlisle, there have been a few posts about it.. if that cant convince you to keep her, then i dont know what will!

take care man!

Alright guys. I'll give it a shot. I'm sure I'll be back asking some questions in a while. I probably won't be working on it for a couple months as we just bought a house and there is still a lot of work to be done. Thanks a lot guys!
