Drove by a used car lot late last night in my 4000S and saw a silver '90 325IX for $1750. No rust. Very clean, clearly garaged. Very small dent/scrape on the passenger's front fender.
Quattro crowd, is this something that's drool-worthy? Finding a decent old Quattro is hard enough in my parts (Iowa) much less discovering an IX.

The IX is much more expensive to maintain.
Probably has an almost stripped out front driveshaft where it couples to the transfer case (common).
Price out how much that costs to fix.
Hint (More than the price of the car)

So many scary tranny/drive-shaft problems its scary! BTW, this is one reason why BMW is not famous for AWD cars.
Only Audi and Subaru have AWD cars down to a science.

I've seen a 325ix on track - they do just fine, and quite a bit more scoot than a 4KQ. List your priorities - I've choose the 4KQ over the 325, even though I'm a BMW fan.
