I am looking for a ecu pin diagram for my 86 audi 4000Q. I do not have power at the ECU. I have checked and swaped the ECU and the spare fuse. I am looking to trace wiring now and see if I have power to the ecu. It would be great if someone could post or send me a ecu wiring diagram. Thanks a bunch! -Dan

If you find one, please post it. I've never seen one floating around out there.
About all I can tell you is that fuse #24 feeds a blue/black wire to the ECU's pin #1. That's part of a bundle of about ten wires that go to the driver side, but none of the others are power related. Maybe pin #24 (black wire), that goes to the starter I believe.
So, if it's not the blue/black wire that's causing trouble, I'd suspect one of the ones that runs to the engine bay, such as the one that goes to the coil. Having taken a 4kq ECU harness completely out, I can't think of anything else that would be power-related...

Nice, I'll be sure to hang on to that. Wonder why nobody has ever posted that before...
Looks like that confirms what I observed when I took mine out, so I'd say it's good.

It's pretty easy to tell once you look at it. I believe the pins start on the bottom left while looking at the ECU, but literally pin #1 that goes to the "spare fuse" is black with blue stripes and there aren't any other wires on the ECU plug that have that marking (there's a blue wire with black stripes but it's easy to tell the difference).

Thanks for the help. Problem is, the wires coming into the connector are covered up by the connector cover and no way to see where any of them go. I'll just have to experiment on finding pin 1. then also the reference to the second row. Does the numbering start back at the same end as pin 1 or the opposite....
Still amazed no picture of this on the internet. Found one of a later URS4 but so far the comparison seems to be wrong on pin location orientation.

Ok, so i spent some time and i'm pretty sure this is the correct pin out for the ECU connector on the 4000 Quattro. Everything maps out like explained in the Bentley on the pins. The top of this picture is where the wires come in and the bottom is where the clips are.
