Looking at a 4kq w/ 10vT on Monday . I've owned a UrQ and several 4kQ's so I have an idea what to expect . The stock UrQ didn't seem that fast , but this car is chipped and has later mc motor w/ smaller watercooled turbo . I've seen several Turbo 4k's on here and was wondering if anyone has similar setup any knows real perf. capabilities ie. 0 - 60 ,0 -100 , top speed , etc . thanks , Mike

And at a reported 235 hp, it easily out accelerated the test 1.8T A4. No surprise there. However, I don't think they had any hard figures.

Car is a UrQ drivetrain conv. w/ 1990 200 longblock , Lehmann chip and UrQ exhaust . Even has working A/C . 90 struts and 4 piston brakes , UrQ rear end w/ vented rotors , Bilsteins w/ H&R springs , 5 lug conv. w/ forged 5 spoke 15" Fuchs wheels . It's a red '87 built by Sprongl and owned Bruno Kreibich . Seems pretty strong , pulls from gear to gear much better than I remember my '83 UrQ doing . Test drove it mostly in stop & go traffic for about 40 min w/AC on w/no problems . Now I don't have to hack up my '86 4kq ( a clean unmolested California car ) .

Given a 4KQ weighs in at about 3200 lbs, I'd say with a 200-220 HP turbo set up you'd get 0-60 in 7 sec or high 6's and 1/4 mile in the 15 sec @90-95 mph range. My Volvo 850T wagon has 222 HP in a 3200 lb car and puts up those numbers (its a modern engine but has an auto, so I'd say an older engine with a 5 speed will match). FYI, the urQs only had 160-170 hp stock which is why it didn't feel "that" fast (but faster than the 130HP 4KQs)

The MC 1 & II pull 162 HP in stock form: chipped to 200.
Ur-Q is around that figure too. WX? can be coaxed to 200HP
Fuel and ditching the CIS would be where the real gains will come from.
Try motorgeek.com for some info and clues......
I have a 4000Q with a MC-1 in it. But the PO runs the JT fuel management system. If it makes more than 130 HP I'd be shocked. Doesn't feel like what 162 should be by the butt dyno.
Something a fuel rail and pulsed injectors (Like Electronic Fuel injection)& 034efi would do...
I could see a free flowing MC doing 250 or so exhaust and other mods.
Javad's 7A puts out 500 PLUS (NO JOKE) in his 80/90Q
