Default 4ktq is dead, again :(

Car ran weird tonight, heres the lowdown.
Went to a friends house and took the highway, did some high boost runs, car ran great. Get to destination and let car sit for 30 mins. Get back in car with friends and drive downtown. Car has slight hesitation or something under a light load (not under boost). When I would come to a stop the revs would drop really low and eventually die if I didnt keep my foot (or hand) on the gas. After another trip to my friends house car ran ok, same problem. Before I shut the car off I checked for fault codes, none. Car sat for a few hours. Come out and start car to make journey home, fires right up and idles fine. Start driving, same thing, come to a stop, revs drop low and car almost dies. Get on interstate and get to my exit, then I get to the stop sign and the car dies and wont restart. Had my friend drop by so we could push the car across the street to a parking spot.
Nothing abnormal under the hood, looks normal. Had no tools with me and I was in nicer clothes.
I smell fuel, alot of it, or maybe its just my imagination. For some reason I dont think Im getting spark. What would cause the car to experience these symptoms? Car has NO ISV, so that has nothing to do with it.

Gonna visit the car tomorrow. I just want it home

Default Check your RPM/TDC sensors..

If you lose the RPM sensor, the car will want to die. They can over heat and cause wacky problems..

Default Well, I did get the car home

The rents are leaving today for a trip, but I had one of them take me to where the car crapped out, which is only a mile down the road. When I tried to start it, it acted like it wanted to start, it eventually did after only a few tries. Ran rough though. For safety I kept the revs up as I came to a stop. Got car home and checked codes, none. Turned car off and restarted, restarted fine. Im not gonna drive it until I do some diagnosis.

If one of those flywheel sensors were bad, what would be some symptoms? The car still had a slight stumbling/bucking/hesitation issue when i was driving it home, it was before the O2 was heated up. Its like Im in gear and just cruising along, you can notice it, but barely.

Thoughts? Bad ignition components? Coil?

Default You can pull codes on a nostart too..

Remember that you can pull codes on a 'nostart' situation too..

I think you have to crank for minimum of 15 seconds without starting, or something like that, then pull codes without shutting off ignition.

Remember that the flywheel sensors have a habit of going bad when hot, but can be ok when cold.

Default Vacuum leak? I had a crack in my crankcase breather hose in my 5ktqa that had similar

symptoms when I 1st bought it.
Heck, even the oil dipstick not seated tightly could cause a leak.

Also check your decel valve.<ul><li><a href="http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/trouble_shooting/ecusys.html#decel">http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/trouble_shooting/ecusys.html#decel</a</li></ul>

Default I was talking with...

Eric (cuatrokoop) about that this morning. Would that attribute to my other problem?
I had tried to check the codes when the car initially stalled at the exit ramp, but couldnt remember how to do it when the car wouldnt start.
Should check those sensors via bentley specs, no?

Default No decel valve...

Maybe gonna poke around the car today. Im leaning towards some sort of vac problem, mainly because the car runs poor after you start it and revs kinda weird.
Will check all breather hoses today, though.

G/l, didn't know how much of the stock setup you'd moved over during the swap.
