When replacing the stock struts with either Boge Turbo gas or Bilstein's while still using the stock springs will the struts them self raise the ride height of the car? Would like to keep the stock ride height that the car has now, but if it will raise the ride height I would choose to replace the springs. Any thoughts?????

I just finished putting Boge Turbo gas in the front and Bilstein sports in the rear on my 84 4KSQ. I wanted a stiffer rear as I carry 4 people quite frequently. In the process I put 90 Coupe Quattro springs in the rear to raise the car height so the rear wasn't lower than the front. I didn't like the "squattro" look that others have complained about. I'm very happy with the ride height at 24 1/2 inches from the ground to the fender lip on the front and 24 1/4" on the rear. This is with the stock 14" wheels. Before I put the Bilsteins on with the new springs the rear fender height was 22". Ground clearance on the 4QKS is an issue if the orginal springs have sagged (about 4 inches to the cat converer). Now that height is 6" so I don't cringe going over speed bumps for fear of scraping.
I expect the Boge turbo gas shocks will raise your car about 1/2" without any other changes. I wouldn't recommend the lowered springs if you are running stock springs now.
