Default 87.5 HELP

I sent off my 87.5 coupe to my mechanic to get a bunch of stuff done, b/c i'm at school i'm unable to do them myself... andway, one of which was to get the outer cv joint replaced... my mechainc has been calling EVERYONE and he can't find the part. He's knowledgeable in the diffreneces in the 87.5 and ect, so i'm confident he's competent to do this... Does anyone know the secert to not paying $500 from audi?

I called the partsconnection and the guy was really helpful, but he said they were out of them and ahve been trying to order them from lobro for a while..

Thanks!

Dave

Default Re: 87.5 HELP

looks like the 87.5 has the same outer cv joint which is the same as the 4kqs....
the boot is the same.. axle seems to have a diffent suffix.. an A instead of a C or vice-versa..
anyone know if these will interchange?
did they really change the CV joints when going from the JT to the NG?
do the 87.5's have ABS? if so a 90q front might work..

HTH!
