Default About have the 86 Coupe road worthy...question

I replaced some bulbs, window regulator and a door pull. However, the hazard lights are not working right. After working the switch back & forth it did start working. However, only the drivers side lights are blinking. Not the passenger side.

The turn signals work fine.

I'm assuming it's the switch. Can that be pulled apart and cleaned. Suggestions?

Default Checked the relay?

Hazard/turn signal relay could be an issue.

Default had the same problem on my 85 once...

try putting your turn signal switch ( key off ) in the right turn position and then put on the hazards, if they all work then you have a break in the wires or a bad plug behind the hazard switch.

Default Oh boy! I love chasing wire breaks.

looks like the wiring runs between the turn switches and the relay for the most part. Shouldn't be that bad.

Default Re: Oh boy! I love chasing wire breaks.

Mine was busted right behind the plug.

Default disassemble and clean

I had the same type of problem with the hazard switch on my 86, my pops who has been in electronics for 30+ years took the switch apart (CAREFULLY!) and cleaned it all up and put it back together, and now they work perfectly. he said he was VERY impressed with the design which I though was pretty cool.....god I love this car....
