If a ClearCoat paint job peals, it was junk to begin with. If done properlly and not damaged by chips (if chips happen, and they will, touch them up) a good multi-stage respray should NEVER peal. pealing is a sign of junk paint, poor prep work, or contamination of the base coat.
Now the decidion on whether to go to Macco is one that cannot be taken lightly. It all depends on what you expect. Do you expect no overspray? No runs or sags? no fisheyes or orange peal? if so, don't go to Macco. if you aren't too picky, they are OK. How long are you going to keep the car? With proper waxing, an el chepo Macco single stage respray will look fine for a couple of years. After that they start to look like crap.
