Default Any suggestions? Can't give 4KQ full-throttle

Does anyone have any suggestions for chasing this problem down? Car starts and runs fine, maybe idles a little high (idles at about 1000rpm), stumbles a little when cold, but nothing major. But, as you depress the throttle everything progresses normally (more throttle=more acceleration), until you get beyond maybe 75% throttle, then it seems to fall on its' face and stop pulling (even seeming to stumble a bit). That's the story. The other kicker...I have no means to check CO (as the prior owner removed the tube and welded the hole shut). Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I don't believe its ignition related...I think it is a fuel problem.

Default usually full throttle under load is ignition.

if you haven't done the plugs, wires, cap and rotor within the last year i would start with that. at least go get a set of bosch supers.
what has been done to the car? tuneup? when? the co hole was sealed from the factory, are you sure it's welded and not just the factory plug?
but if you haven't done a tuneup i would DEFINATELY start there before messing with the fuel system.

hope this helps!

Default yep.. and throw in new fuel filters with the tune up

New2, sounds like you should start with a clean up - ignition stuff, filters, timing then look for more symptoms. Also try throwing in some injector cleaner ie Jectron. If those don't help, there is a full throttle switch on the FI that could be defective, or your fuel pump is weak. Start by pulling your plugs and do a color check.

Default Fuel Pump Relay...

Wouldn't a 4 cyl fuel pump relay cause that if it was installed in a I5 car?
