<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/40192/transmount.jpg"></center><p>Reason being: I have a clunk in between 1+2 that almost feels like it's coming from directly under me... I crawled under there a few minutes ago and the mount looks meaty. I have the car parked in first, and if I rock it back and forth I can see it pivot ever so slighly on the mount? perhaps it isn't tightened?

...the mounts, <i>externally</i> look the same. However, once I got the mount out from under the tranny, it was seperated in two. As far as I know, the only way to tell if it's shot is to actually remove it. I'd be willing to bet that your mount is most definitely shot. In fact, I can almost guarantee it. Do you hear the clunk on sudden deceleration, or when you suddenly let off the accelerator? A clunk in 1st and 2nd? I had the same symptoms as you do, and they left when I added the new mount. Also check your exhaust hangers when you're under there, and good luck.
