the family friend that bought my Coupe from me, came by tonight with a non functioning digital dash. I have had two Coupes with digital dashes, and never had a problem with them, the minute I sell the cars, the dashes die. What gives? I told the new owner to always use the windshield sunvisor I included with the sale of the car, to try and keep those old electronics a little cooler. He didn't follow my sage advice, and now the dash is dead. Well, not dead but won't illuminate....by the end of the evening and alot screwing around with it, I did get the speedo section to light up, but neither of the side panels light. And I have check bulbs, wiring etc... Any one know of any common failures within these old clusters? Any advice would be appreciated, especially since he leaves for college on Friday.

Or if anyone has a working spare they would part with. I have/had two spares, neither of which functioned.

150 bones eh?... Well, I am pretty sure the new owner doesn't have that much currently to throw at the car. I guess he will driving from Pennsylvania to North Carolina and then onto Texas without any instrumentation (that will be fun).

I guess I will look locally and see if I can come up with something.

I am over in the southeastern part of the state...Lancaster specifically. If it weren't for the fact that he leaves tomorrow, he may be interested. What do you think you would need to get for it? Would you be willing to ship?

id have to check with the other 2 auditrippin members to get an asking price, but like I said, were not sure if it works. I can probally slap a battery in the coupe and see if it does anything. That won't happen until at least this weekend.
