Default Anyone ever seal up a leaky windshield washer fluid tank?

Filled mine up before changing the plugs Saturday, and sure enough, by the end of the process, the fluid wasn't to the top anymore.

My question is what do you think a good sealant would be? Marine silicone? Some sort of caulk? A new tank is like $25 and I'm too cheap to shell out the cash when there could be a simple solution for a not-so-large leak.

Thanks for any thoughts...

Default I used black silicone on mine.

worked like a charm, just make sure you fill the crack completely.

Default I just tossed a few tanks out, oops

Of course, they were both cracked . Yeah, as Evilclown said, some sort of silicone would work.
I had to redo all the washer fluid line as well.

Default Re: Wait, they want $108................

no, no, no, that must be industrial grade stuff, sorry. If you go to a local parts store, they sell 3M epoxy in a small tube for like $5-10 in the bondo and body work section. This stuff works great on sealing cracks in plastic. Very strong and durable. It's like super glue on steriods. It basically welds the plastic together. We used to use this stuff on cracked interior pieces and it always worked great.
