I have set of cloth seats.. but they are the olive brown color.. which wouldnt match my interior. Im thinking about dying them black.. but is there 'special' automotive fabric dye? Or should I just head on down to the fabric crafts store? Cloth would be nice in the summer instead of the hot *** leather. Does anyone know exactly what kind of material the seats are made out of? TIA

you can buy it in a spray can. The stuff works pretty good, but I'm not sure if it lasts long. On cloth, it shouldn't be a problem be the cloth will absorb it better, but vinyl and plastic will eventually flake off.

I used black spray dye on some of those velour type seats, and it never really got down into the nap. You could always see the original lighter color sort of showing through the black.
I suppose some kind of wetter dye, maybe if the material was immersed in it, it might work better. I used some stuff in aerosol cans.
