Anyone know what the secret is to r/r the AC belt?
I can't seem to find the adjustment that allows the compressor to move. Need help!

I do if we're talkin' 'bout the 4cyl...
to R&R it you have to remove the front engine mount. The compressor doesn't move. To adjust the belt, there are shims that make up the middle portion of the crankshaft pulley. You change how the belt rides in the groove by adjusting that thickness. I've never done the adjustment, I just put a new belt on. The last time I changed my belts was during a timing belt R&R so I already had the pulley apart. I think I just put the belt loosely around the crankshaft pulley after putting the pulley back together and then started the belt on the compressor pulley and rotated the engine by hand until the belt seated in the pulleys.
