Interesting that the 4KQ in the video exhibits a classic auxiliary vacuum pump tick. No that is not a sticking lifter, the engine is fine. After swapping lifters twice in my 4KQ I found an retired Audi mechanic and past 4KQ owner that clued me in. If you have this issue do the following.
1) Loosen the screws on the large plate on the side of the vacuum pump. Let any oil in it drain out.
2) Tighten the screws and see if the tick is gone.
3) If the tick is still there remove the pump to fully drain it. The dealer will be able to order the molded o-ring to re-installing it leak tight. If it continues to tick order a new pump off the web(warning its pricey). I removed the pump once because the heads in the philips head screws stripped. I replaced them with socket cap allen head screws. After that I could easily drain it when needed without removing it again.

I think you posted on the wrong thread...
Anyway, there is an easier way to kill the clanking pump for good, just take the stupid rod out and be done with it!
