Best place to get new replacement parts?
Hi, I just bought an 84 4000S 2.2L, years ago I had an 86 and I missed this car and engine so much I bought one to make it my new commuter car to work. It's in great shape inside and out.
I need to get some new replacement maintenance parts. Things like: belts, fan switch, miscellaneous things under the hood. I also need some interior switches, that kind of thing.
Can anyone recommend a good parts supplier that will ship to Canada? I guess most would. I'm just having a bit of trouble finding online stores that actually match my make/model/year. For some reason I can't seem to get the year/engine combination coming up correctly when I use my normal Audi sources (this is my 8th car)
In order to get the 2.2L engine come up I have to select the "quattro" model, even though mine is FWD/automatic.

Call Kris @ VM Autohaus
He's in Burnaby. He should be able to give youdecent prices on parts & is local so you cave s&h.
As for having to pick "quattro", Cdn spec 4k's were 5cyl while US got only got 4cyl.
You still looking for a 5ktqa? I have various models available & am in BC.

http://www.vmautohaus.com/</a

Canadian online "worldpac" resellers..
Below is a link to a Canadian Worldpac reseller. Prices are in Can dollars, and they ship from Canada (TOronto & Vancouver, I think)
There are a few online webstores, and a fair number of them are all Worldpac resellers.
Once you get into their websitre, you can sort of tell what ones are the worlpac as they have the same structrue and same pictures. Prices are usually (but not always) similar.
The link below and this one both use the worldpac 'mechanisim' in their web store..

That is the problem - the S doesn't come up.
Only 4000 or 4000 quattro. The 4000 gives me only the 4 cyl engine. Mine's the 5, I think the database is missing the entry for the Canadian model.

If you have the JT motor..
If you have the JT motor, no reason you can't pick the quattro (or coupe, if it has the same motor) for motor bits.
You just have to 'know' what car to pick when looking for what parts.
(Like don't be picking quattro, when looking for back axle brake bits on a FWD car! :-)
