brake question

sorry for asking but how do i get the brake pads out of my car iv'e never done any kind of brake work before are they just held in on the side by a clip like a 911? i just need to check em i think they may be getting pretty worn

Undo one of the caliper bolts so the caliper will flip out and away from the disc. Then, I was able to extract the old pads by pushing then towards the center of the caliper, and they just kinda popped out. Now, that was on the rears, the fronts should be similar.

Make sure to seat the springs in the caliper correctly when reassembling...unfortunately they're not as easy as a 911 or 356. I like to scuff new pads on an inconspicuous patch of cement. And spend the $10 for a piston depressor, it'll save time and effort.
