Cam Pricing.
Hey folks. I have been looking into cam shafts for the coupe. I know that Schrick sells them, but it is finding them. So I was cruising a message board for the Porsche 924 (please dont comment) and they were talking about a company called Integral Cams who will regrind and make a cam for you. i asked about what they would charge if I sent them a used cam. They answered $175.00 US. Any thoughts?
Here is their reply email.
We can regrind a used stock cam to stage 1 hydraulic lifter specs, +6
degrees duration and +.005 lift. The cost is $175 and it will take about 2
weeks.

The 272 Blau cam by itself is $209.!!!! DO IT!
I wouldn't go with a regrind, + 6 deg is NOTHING!!!
The stock "NF" cam is 221deg, the Blau is 272deg,
a differnce of 51deg!!!!

I gess I will find a used cam then and send it off. I just reassmbled the Waterpump and timing belt today. Just a couple of finishing touches and I will be driveing the girl again!
