Default Canada Day Pictures

Well, as I said I was going to do a couple of weeks ago, I painted the 4kq this afternoon flat black. Absolutely, 100% ghetto, and warranting a gold medal in the turd polishing event! I used a pint can of tremclad and a 1 1/2-inch brush. I felt like a teenager again, sitting in the driveway, the dog by my side, painting my ride. ****, I had a good time.
Anyway, the first picture was early this morning when I had both Audi's backed out of the shop so I could change the oil in the truck and scirocco. Not looking too bad.

And a couple of the 4kq after it's transformation. The paint was still a little wet. The 'spots' on the hood are those damn maple tree helicopters. My wife was picking them off all afternoon.

Wheels are next. I'm going to paint those flat black as well. It's suffice to say, my 4kq looks very much like the submarines I sail in!! I'll have to come up with a decent handle for it, like the scorpion or something....LOL.

What's with all the flat black cars lately? I love black, but don't understand the flat part...

Default For me it's quite simple..

..I'm all about go, not show. I really don't have a favourite color, nor am I all that fond of flat black, but what the hell. The coupe and scirocco are both silver, the 4kq was grey, so I wanted something different. As long as it gets me from A to B I really don't care what color it is or what it looks like.

Default Nice way to celebrate our countrys B-day, looks like it came out good.

Why didn't you paint it in the shop & just cover up the walls & use a fan for exhaust? You just built the damn thing, make use of it : - P.
