heres the deal I've owned the car for just over a week now and it doesn't want to run...it will start and run for about 10 seconds then die...or if you try to hit the gas it dies...
yes there gas in the car, oil's in there, new distributor and rotor button...

anyone have any ideas?..the car WAS working alright before and this just came up all of a sudden when I was showing the car to a friend of mine.

did you check if your fuel pump was operating in the engine run state? The pump will operate while cranking and then shut down after it starts if the circuit or relay is ng. You can try to bypass the relay and see what happens.

stalling after starting up can be caused by low system fuel pressure. Try pulling the FP relay and jumpering the two large spades. the fuel pump should kick in even with the engine off. That also gives the pump time to build up system pressure. You can also have problems in the FI, like a leaky cold start valve, a stuck ISV, a bad differential or diaphram pressure regulator. If you don't have a pressure tester or multimeter, you'll need to do what I did, which is buy a bunch of spare parts on Ebay and move things in and out (I had a similar start/stall issue which turned out to be a bad differential pressure regulator and a bad spark plug wire on a set I put in 18 months ago (end cap fell off!!) I found the wire by going back to basics and spritzed water on my wires and cranked the engine in the dark to look for arcing... This is one area where the Bentley manual is pure gold...
