Default Clutch problems

So I was driving down the road today and as I slowed down to shift into second, a loud bang came from the transmission and the car jerked. I thought something fell off the car at first, but then when I went to engage 1st gear from a stop, the car was really jerky on the uptake of the clutch. I'm guessing all I need is a clutch alignment, but what the heck happened?

Default Re: Clutch problems

sounds like something let go inside. I had a pressure plate come apart on an old truck I had years ago, and it was practically a brand new clutch. Pushed in the clutch pedal, it let out a loud bang, and no more clutch. But sounds like yours still works, just not real well.
