Hoping to get some help. I am looking at a used 4000kq and the compression test was:
#1 172
#2 175
#3 170
#4 135
#5 168
From reading previous posts it seems like these are within factory limits, but what could the low compression reading on #4 mean. Seller indicated it could be valve seal?
The car is out-of-state so I have not seen it personally, but it appears in great shape and the seller seems straight up about everything.
Any thoughts? Thanks

Is it something to be overly concerned about in buying the car? I have just enough knowledge to know it might be a problem, but not enough to know about the solution! Thanks again

strange that the one is so much lower than the others. i'd have the guy do a leakdown test; i have a feeling the rings in that cylinder might not seal as tightly as the others.
