Coolant temp sensor removal...?

Default Coolant temp sensor removal...?
Before I tear into this today, I figured I'd ask first if there is an easy way to remove the coolant temperature sensor without making too much of a mess. (the one near the head, on the neck coming from the radiator) Or is there a predetermined "best" way to do it??

Unfortunately no, there will be coolant leakage. Just have lots of rags.
