a difficult one
Lets say that someone try to fit the 1.8turbo engine on a nice 4000! So far no probs the engine is there all the electrics done imobiliser ok! SO what about fuel supply? The 1.8T runs at 6Bar pressure and as far as i know the car uses two fuel pumps! One inside the fuel tank (at 3Bar) and a second one at another 3Bar in order to reach working pressure!!! My question where do you get or how the 6bar? As far as i know fuel pumps in the market do go that high any answers??? Thanks

Re: a difficult one
There is only one fuel pump, and the system is NOT running at 6bar. Its a 4bar system. Also, most Audi/Bosch pumps will produce rather high pressures w/out a problem...

FPR
There are actually several different Fule Pressure Regulators for the 1.8T, a 4 bar & a 5 bar. If you are running .8 bar of boost or less, the 4 bar is fine, you may need a 5 bar if going to 1 or 1.1 bar of boost to avoid pinging (I had to run a 5 bar on my Passat)...

Re: FPR
Check the fiche some time...Only one p# for the FPR from 1996 to 2003 for the A4 and 1998 to 2003 for the Passat (its also the same FPR found on a whole lotta other cars). Its a 4bar FPR, and the only one ;-) P# is 078 133 534C
Now, the 7A (2.3L 20v) powered cars have a 4.5 or 5bar FPR, which is abnormal for Audi's with MPI/EFI. It is the only engine it came on...054 133 534.
