i got kinda fed up with the trick doorhandle on my cgt so i just took the side of my hand and gave it a quick bang. seems to be working fine now.

My passenger door handle will not open - tried inside/outside handle - ideas to get the door open? for an '82 coupe.

you may have to take the inner door pannel off to check if everything is connected.

Is the trigger still on the car? if the depressing release [I'm calling it the trigger] is permanently down, then you'll need to pull the handle and see what's not working.

Please do a Search on "Doorhandle repair" and you'll find much there about it.

You'll probally end up with a collection of working and non-working handles like the rest of us! Every handle is different, so not so many interchangable parts.

Thanks for the help; the trigger works, but the inside lever to open the door is not connect to anything...must have broken. I was trying not to have to take the door panel off. I have other problems with "my girl" as she broke a hard brake line over the weekend and barely got home. So I am trying to replace the lines as we speak - suggestions? THX

And, once you get inside the door, you may find other stuff connected that needs "tweaking". something made that rod disconnect, look for the reason. I'm betting it's in the door handle.

The brake issue..... worthy of another post here. also can do a search and see what others say.
