Default eBay muffler...

Anyone ever bought one of these from this ebay seller? If it's the entire rear section and I can just bolt it on, that seems like good way to go.

If this route isn't recommended, do you have good advice on replacing the muffler on my 4000? The muffler it self is "good", but it's the pipe leading into the muffler that is rusted out.

4000 quattro muffler on eBay.

Default Why not go to a local muffler shop & get a quote for just the bad section?

Most likely a lot cheaper then that muffler after shipping if your current muffler is good & still worth keeping.

Default And if you're planning on a turbo swap in the future, you'll most likely want to overhaul the

system anyway.
So you could go that route now in preperation for turbo swap, or just go cheap to save $$ towards other parts it'll need.

Default All of that aluminized aftermarket stuff is crap. If you want OEM it has to be Leistritz.

Or go with CAC Stainless steel and forget about having to replace it forever.

Wel... it's either $ once a year or $$$ every 10... you choose. Even Ansa falls apart in no time

Default I had a very expensive Leistritz go bad in about 2 years I try to go with Bosal but......

I find that if the car is driven regularly the Anza lasts about 4 years. If the car sits the muffler falls apart.

Default AHHh forget it ...someone mentioned aftermarket stuff is crap anyway...

Strange is their are some videos of one of these systems on some cars floating around on AW...see also event covarage..and people have been giving good vibes on them...how come no one says anything when some one like this asks?

Obviously I will not brag about my stuff...because who frankly will believe me?

Come on where are all those shy Audi owners with this system on them...can they please give some feedback PLEASE!!!
