Default Re: Effects of running without an O2 sensor?

fuel economy would suffer for one
im not sure if it would default rich

the o2 sensor tells the computer exactly what happened during combustion, the computer then sends a signal to the differential pres. regulator to adjust air fuel ratio

i ran my car without an o2 for a while it seemed to run ok(ke jetronic)

Default been that way for a month or so now....

My 02 went out right when I attained a particularly horrible exhaust leak (I sound like a damned honda!). my fuel economy has stayed just about exactly the same. the only thing I can figure is that the mixture can get screwed up and mess up your plugs and/or injectors.

Default if I understandthe lamda system the o2 sensor just refines the mixture

Remember CIS engines without the o2 sensor work just fine and do not gumb up
