Factory paint matching
I am now shopping for paint to complete the resto on the 4K.
The factory color is Zobelbraunmetallic (sable brown metallic) LY8V.
Does anybody have any experience buying factory paint?
Or do I need to try and get it matched? I am getting the whole car resprayed - doors, hood & truck off etc. so a new shade wouldn't be so bad.
I am striving for OEM if I can get it.

Just go to your local automotive paint supply store.
Give them the paintcode (or look through the gazillon books they have) and bango! Of course, its impossible to get a factory match perfect.. but there are many good paints out there, just ask.
