Default Found a shop to do clutch.

Our local Jacks Brake and Alignment will do my clutch to my 86 4000csq for about 850 bucks. Includes parts and labor. Not bad. Still, may get another car as a daily driver and keep this one to tinker around with and have fun.

Default $850 still seems a little high to me

Although you have Quattro if I'm not mistaken. The way I look at it is, I got my clutch and gearbox changed out and it was around $1200...

Default That's about right

Exactly the price the shop next to me quoted. It really does take a long time to do the clutch on these awd cars...

Default Hopfully there is nothing wrong with my gearbox.

Ill probally change out the fluid in the thing, hopfully that stops the grinding.

Default $850 is good including parts.

I paid $835 and provided clutch kit, new mounts and slave cylinder. Original quote was $400, but then they had to rebuild the center bearing carrier.
