The Fox GTI lives again!
It still need a bit of work, but just the sound difference from the 1.6 to the 2.0L makes it all worth it... and the raw gas spilling out the back of the tailpipe.... kind of like the early 70's muscle cars.
We all need to do our bit for Global Warming.
And Petunia hangs out with topless women. (link to video at the bottom)

I haven't even set the basics yet....
But, Mike was so excited to hear it run, so there it is. We have been swamped, so finding side time is dificult. But, I do what I can. It should be back in his hands by the end of next week.
I'll set the timing firrst, then the mixture. Then, run it a bit, give it a really good once over on the lift, and perhaps play with the timing a bit for more power (grunt ensues). It should put a pretty big smile on his face when it's done.
A gentleman on the DOG list has a 3A'd (2.0) Dasher without the knock sensor ignition. He ran 96 hp and 115 ft-lbs to the wheels. So, with 1900 lbs or so it should move pretty well.
Then, onto the suspension/brakes.........

It'll be at Carlisle...
Either I'll drive it, or Tow it behind petunia. Mike won't have enough time off to drive it out there. Gotta love the Air Force scheduling!! Don't they know Carlisle is important to the morale of the country??

Hi Tony! Did you see my post>>>
I figured that if we have an impromptu GTG on the Friday Night, then I could get the Tow to Mike and he could bring it down with the car.
Cheers!<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/4000/msgs/153912.phtml">Tow bar on sale!</a></li></ul>
