Getting 2 more 6x9's for the rear, have the fronts now.
I was originally going to put all Bose in, as I reeally like that sound. It's what I have in my home stereo, as well as the A6. However the suggustion was made on this forum that the MB Quarts were excellent speakers, and I went to a car audioshop and gave 'em a listen. I found out that these were pretty good as well, so decided to try them! they're German made, so they fit right in...LOL

But since we share the same size speakers I run some decent Infinity speakers up front. I forget the size, they are about 4 years old, but sound pretty darn good!

+ kappa 3.5" 2-ways mounted in chopped grills up front. (maybe a set of tweeters on the doors w/ crossovers)
+ kappa 5.25" component system w/ crossovers and tweeters on the rear deck.
+ one 10" sub in the trunk
+ an amp mounted under the rear seat for the sub.
all running off a mid-level alpine head unit.
everything would fit in the stock locations (minus the tweeters and sub of course) but you have to be careful with the front. the speaker and grill are a one piece design if you want to put something aftermarket up there youre either going to have to do some cutting and minor fab work or be content with a slightly loose mesh grill.

dropping the lower dash and working the duct vents out the front of the dash. then getting up under the dash and taking out two screws for each speaker. not hard at all really but it scuffed my knuckles pretty bad. its tight in there.
